"My Faith Walk" | Apostle Leroy H. Cannady
"If ever there was a time for faith, it is today. In a world full of chaos and confusion, our “faith” may seem tested in many areas of our lives. However, when I look back over my life and see where God has brought me from, I can say without a doubt “if it had not been for the Lord who was on my side where would I be.”
I have been preaching the Word of God for over seventy years, honored to serve as the Presiding Bishop of The Way of the Cross Church of Christ International for thirty years and I was blessed to see my 100th birthday on May 27, 2022. I have come this far by Faith. These milestones have not been without disappointments, heartaches, and tears. Yet, I have also witnessed much joy in serving my God and witnessing the spiritual births of many souls who God entrusted in my care. Joy as I see them filled the precious gift of the Holy Ghost and witnessed their spiritual growth and maturity in the Word of God.
Joy as they heard and obeyed the voice of God to begin their own ministries and is now birthing their own spiritual children. Yes, I have come this far by faith and grateful that the Lord has continued to bless, keep and sustained me. No goodness of my own but I am so grateful that God’s Hands still rest upon me. By the help of God and until He says, “Well Done”, I shall continue to walk by faith. And although I may not be able to physically see as well as I want to, my spiritual sight remains stronger and clearer than ever. I shall endeavor to keep the unity of the faith for He has not brought me this far to leave or forsake me.
Down through the years I have been blessed to write many articles and recordings on topics close to my heart: “The Godhead;” “Baptism in Jesus Name;” “Receiving the Holy Ghost;” “The Plan of Salvation;” “The Nature of God” and so many others. My latest two books “Give Me This Mountain: A Leap of Faith” was written in 2003 and “Understanding the Holy Bible: The Infallible Word of God was written in 2015. I have strived to be a humble servant to the people of God. I have been faithful to this ministry and in turn this ministry has been a blessing to me.
