ABOUT ELECT LADY
TIFFANY A. BARNETT

Lady Tiffany Ann Barnett was born in Chapel Hill, NC to the late Raymond Miles and Zesta Fuller on October 2, 1971 and reared in the small town of Yanceyville, NC. In 1993, Lady Barnett graduated from the prestigious University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. While on the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill, Missionary Barnett met the love of her life, Bishop Troy Barnett.

During the holiday season of 1993, Lady Barnett received a church calendar and personal invitation to attend Landmark Apostolic Church in Burlington, NC, from her loving Aunt Sherba Leen, affectionately known as “Auntie”. Lady Barnett was excited to attend church and surprise her Auntie; however, she did not want to go alone and encouraged Bishop Barnett to come as well. Upon arrival, they realized Auntie had surprised them because she was not there, but had gone out of town. Bishop and Lady Barnett decided to stay for the service anyways. The word of God was fervently preached and pricked the heart of Lady Barnett. She went to the altar, fell to her knees and wept, and wept, and wept. When she rose to her feet, it was evident a change was taking place. They continued to visit Landmark Apostolic Church for the weekly services and felt the presence of the Lord at each and every service.

On Sunday, February 6, 1994, Lady Barnett made the choice to be baptized in Jesus’ name during the evening service. Plans were already made for her to attend the Senior Football Banquet with Bishop Barnett, but her heart was fixed and her mind was made up to be baptized. Pastor Glenn McDonald baptized Lady Barnett in Jesus’ name for the remission of sin and the Spirit of the Lord met them in the baptismal pool. As Lady Barnett praised the Lord, the pastor’s wife, Sister McDonald got in the pool as well. Lady Barnett was filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gave utterance while in the baptismal pool. To God be all the glory!

Bishop Barnett and Lady Barnett were married on October 3, 1994, and moved to Massachusetts where their two beautiful daughters, Tiana and Taylor, were born. Lady Barnett home educated their daughters from birth to the fourth and fifth grade while pursuing a Masters degree in Elementary Education from Lesley University. God allowed Lady Barnett to continue to grow spiritually and serve diligently at Greater Faithful Apostolic Ministries pastored by the late Bishop Hurshel Langham. While in Massachusetts, Lady Barnett was a faithful and active member and served as the Young People’s Co-President, Nursery Class Sunday School Teacher, Co-Leader of The King’s Daughters, and student of Ministry of Apostolic Training and Education (MATE).

In 2007, the Barnett family relocated to Baltimore, MD. Lady Barnett continues to grow spiritually at Refuge Way of the Cross Church of Christ where Bishop Barnett is the Pastor (2016) and Apostle Leroy H. Cannady, Sr. is the founder. Lady Barnett gladly embraces her call to support her loving husband in ministry. She is committed to working alongside Bishop Barnett to empower the youth, promote the value of a personal relationship with God, strong marriages and family relationships, as well as to help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the community.

As a faithful and active member of Refuge WOTCC, Lady Barnett has served as the Women’s Ministry President, Sunday School Assistant Superintendent, and continues to support the Women’s Ministry, Missionary Board and Clergy Wives. Lady Barnett’s passion for Women’s Ministry allows her to encourage, motivate and inspire women, of all ages, as they grow spiritually and naturally.

Lady Barnett recently retired as an educator with 20 years of experience. During her career has taught in the public and private sectors, grades two through high school (Geometry and Trigonometry) and served as an elementary and middle school principal.

Ultimately, her desire is to please God in word and deed by demonstrating the love of God to everyone.

Lady Barnett’s favorite scripture is Psalm 34:8 “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”
