Refuge Way of the Cross Church of Christ Hosts Open House Event to Engage with Potential Members
On Saturday, January 25, 2025, Refuge Way of the Cross will host the first-ever Open House. This public and free event will take place at 4301 Old York Road. The Open House aims to allow Baltimore and other surrounding areas to learn more about the ministry, community engagement, and other events.
The Open House gives those seeking a new church home a first-hand perspective of what Refuge offers. Attendees can learn more about the ministry and specific auxiliaries such as the youth, women's, and men’s ministry. Raffles sponsored by local vendors will be given away. During this time, special remarks from Pastor Troy Barnett will be shared- formally introducing Refuge to those unfamiliar with the church and its mission.
In planning for this first-of-its-kind event, Pastor Barnett remarks, “We want to be a church that actively supports and engages with the community.”
The Open House also allows small businesses and entrepreneurs to display their products or services. Refuge Way of the Cross Church of Christ (www.refugewotcc.net) was founded in 1958 by Apostle Leroy H. Cannady. The church has been in the Wilson Park and Govan Community since 1970. The vision of the ministry is to support the community through spiritual needs by preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ through outreach, mentorship, and fellowship.
